The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has expressed his displeasure over the unjustified killings of some persons in Offa, Kwara state yesterday’s afternoon.
Some unknown gunmen invaded banks in Offa yesterday and sporadically shot several people dead during their attack.
The Senate President, in his reaction this morning stated that he has spoken with the state Governor, Fatai Ahmed and both are committed to ensuring that the killers are brought to book quickly.
The Senator who hailed from Ilorin, Kwara state despised the attack as he note that no rationality validates the savage attack, tagging the perpetrators as ‘cruel individuals’.
“Make no mistake, there will never be any valid grounds or rationale behind such violence that has left many families without their loved ones — and one more community in grief and shock.
Last night, I spoke to Governor Ahmed to express my condolence on the lives that were lost in the attack, and we both agree that no stone will be left unturned until the perpetrators of this heinous act are caught and brought to justice”, he mentioned.
Saraki however appealed to the people of Kwara to collaborate with government in improving the security of the communities within the state.
He prayed that the lost lives will be placed among the righteous in the abode above.
“I pray that the souls of those that we lost yesterday are granted places amongst the righteous ones. My prayers and support will continue to be extended to all the affected families, and we will remain relentless until everyone who planned or carried out this attack faces the full wrath of the law”, Saraki ended.
